These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, mobile applications, and scrap management services operated under the brand name Scrap Finder (“Scrap Finder”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our platform, booking a scrap collection, or entering into a commercial scrap disposal arrangement with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Scrap Collection Services

Scrap Finder provides on-demand doorstep scrap collection, recycling, and disposal services for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Accepted scrap categories include ferrous and non-ferrous metals, paper and cardboard, electronic waste (e-waste), plastics, appliances, and industrial surplus.

The customer or commercial entity is solely responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information regarding the category, estimated volume, and condition of the materials when scheduling a pickup. We reserve the right to inspect and reject hazardous, prohibited, stolen, or bio-waste materials upon site inspection.

2. Pricing and Valuation

Scrap rates listed on our platform reflect prevailing market values and are subject to periodic revision without prior notice. Quoted prices online serve as estimates; final valuation is determined on-site following segregation, grading, quality inspection, and measurement using certified digital weighing scales.

3. Weighing, Invoicing, and Payment

All scrap materials will be segregated and weighed in the presence of the customer or an authorized representative. Once the bill or invoice summary is generated, payment will be disbursed via instant online transfer (such as UPI, IMPS, or bank transfer) or another mutually agreed-upon method prior to the departure of the collection team.

For commercial or enterprise clients, payment terms, GST invoicing, and credit arrangements will adhere to the agreed service-level agreement (SLA) or contract.

4. Scheduling and Access

Scrap Finder will allocate pickup slots based on fleet availability and geographical routing. The customer is responsible for providing safe, unobstructed access to the premises and ensuring that materials are staged and ready for pickup at the scheduled date and time. Any delays, restricted access, or rescheduling must be communicated in advance.

5. Property Safety and Liability

While our collection personnel take reasonable precautions during material handling and loading, Scrap Finder is not liable for incidental wear, pre-existing structural issues, or damages occurring on the customer's property during collection. The customer must ensure materials are stored in a structurally safe, clear, and secure area prior to the pickup team's arrival.

6. Regulatory Compliance and Material Ownership

Scrap Finder operates in accordance with applicable local, state, and national environmental laws, including e-waste and solid waste management rules. By releasing scrap materials to Scrap Finder, the customer confirms lawful ownership of the materials and transfers all title and rights to Scrap Finder for responsible processing, upcycling, or recycling.

7. Platform Use and Conduct

The Scrap Finder platform is provided for personal and business recycling coordination. You agree not to use the platform for fraudulent bookings, unauthorized scraping, dissemination of malicious software, or any activities that disrupt the operational integrity of our systems.

8. Accuracy of Platform Content

While we strive for operational accuracy, our platform content, rate indicators, and service availability schedules may occasionally contain inadvertent typographical errors or system discrepancies. Scrap Finder disclaims liability for decisions made solely in reliance upon unverified or preliminary website estimates.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights related to Scrap Finder—including logos, trademarks, text, software, graphics, layouts, and service marks—are the exclusive property of Scrap Finder. No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or republished without prior written authorization.

10. Third-Party Links

Our platform may link to third-party tools, payment gateways, or informative resources. Scrap Finder does not endorse and assumes no responsibility or liability for the content, privacy practices, or reliability of external third-party services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scrap Finder, its directors, employees, and logistics partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from platform downtime, missed collection windows, or third-party payment gateway failures.

12. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will become effective immediately upon posting to this page. Continued utilization of our platform or booking services following revisions signifies your binding acceptance of the updated Terms.
